Sunnyland Neighborhood Association Meeting

Agenda:
1. Called to order by David Donohue-Co-Chair. Introductions, Sign In Sheet
2. Minutes were read by Mary Anne Stuckart. Approved
3. Report on the Mayor’s Neighborhood Advisory Commission-Andrew Connor
4. Greenway –Not here.

4. Annual Picnic Planning-Susan Adams-
5. Planning for SNA Elections-May 21st at picnic-Nominations at April 25th SNA meeting-Ballots-Nominations will be open at picnic or people can send a signed letter. H. Conroy-SNA needs to elect a Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer and 3 Area Representatives-Area 1 East of James, Area 2 West of James & south of Alabama and Area 3 West of James and north of Alabama and a MNAC representative. J. Hillegas supported mailing a newsletter announcing dates for nominating and elections and list officers. Nominations at April 25th meeting and at May 21st picnic before elections. We will need ballots and a ballot box for picnic.
6. Newsletters-The newsletter is out and a big thank you to Susan Adams and Stephan King. D. Donohue suggested contacting local papers regarding the picnic on Sunday, May 21. T.Tripp said she would call area newspapers on Wednesday, April 26 regarding getting articles about SNA and picnic.
7. Signs for Meetings-J. Hillegas and H. Conroy said that signs cost a large amount of money and James passed out a grid listing the 6 types of signs and the cost. Lettering is very expensive-$.65 a letter. The double sided sign is $26. C. LaVoi mentioned that she had seen signs with wheels for bringing them in and out. D. Donohue said that you have to wait wood signs and maybe ask Sabrina if she would put the sign out again. S. Adams suggested buying the signs to use before the picnic and then paying for them with memberships gained at picnic. Another suggestion was to find sponsors to pay for the signs and advertise on the signs.

Mayor’s Neighborhood Advisory Commission Meeting is April 12, 7:00, City Hall. Andrew Connor will represent SNA and all citizens are welcome to attend.
